WHY WE'RE FUNDRAISING WITH THE JIMMY FUND WALK TO FIGHT CANCER

Cathy Troisi was a wife, a mom, a grandmother, a family member, and friend who loved all the people she surrounded herself with. If you knew Cathy your life was changed for the better.

Cathy spent her life volunteering, teaching preschool, running and walking marathons and ultras, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for cancer research, and raising her beloved grandchildren. She traveled the world sharing memories of her daughter who passed away from colon cancer and using her running and walking to raise money for cancer research. Cathy ran and walked 50 marathons for the Jimmy Fund and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Dana-Farber provides expert, compassionate care to children and adults and is home to groundbreaking cancer discoveries.

Cathy did all this quietly and with a humble presence to make a difference in the lives of others. She made the world a better place and has left a legacy behind. Cathy will be missed immensely by all who knew her.

Thank you for honoring Cathy in a way that will continue her mission of supporting cancer research. Cathy carried hope with her in everything she did and she lived a life full of love. Much gratitude.
