That's right, this is my 20th year walking 26.2 miles in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk for Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Each year, I lace up my sneakers and take on this challenge along the historic marathon route to support a cause that is deeply personal to me!
Cancer hit my family when I was young, I lost my grandmother to it when I was 8. As each year passed that I walked in this event, I have had to add another loved one to the list of "who I walk for". Every step I take in this walk is for them and for everyone who has been touched by cancer.
Though cancer remains a formidable opponent, we can fight back. With each dollar raised, we contribute to groundbreaking treatments, compassionate care, and vital support for those in need. (Where does your money go?)
I am happily walking on October 6th with hope and determination, and I invite you to be part of this journey. A small donation of $10 can make a significant impact in the fight against cancer.
