Our team is supporting this year's Jimmy Fund Walk in honor of Jackson (Jax) Carmichael, as well as all who have been affected by cancer in some way.
Jackson is a 4 year old boy currently in treatment at Dana Farber Cancer Institute for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). He was diagnosed in September of 2023 and receives regular chemotherapy in Dana Farber's Jimmy Fund Clinic (specializing in pediatric care) and will continue treatment until October of 2025.
We are extremely fortunate to live near one of the BEST cancer centers in the nation. In fact, U.S. News & World Report has named Dana-Farber/Boston Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Center the #2 pediatric program in the nation in its 2023-24 Best Children's Hospitals report.
Dana Farber has a well established protocol to treat Jackson and he has received a great prognosis. He has been in remission since October but must continue treatment for 2 full years to ensure the cancer does not return.
Your support will be specifically directed to the Pediatric Oncology Fund at Dana Farber to support cutting-edge research and compassionate patient care for children receiving a cancer diagnosis.
Thank you for supporting our team in the Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can defy cancer!
