As you know, I've always been one to embrace a challenge and dare mighty things. Today, I'm reaching out to you to join me in a daring endeavor, one that carries profound meaning and the potential to make a lasting impact on countless lives.
As Theodore Roosevelt once said, "Far better it is to dare mighty things than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat." On April 15th, 2024, I will be running the iconic Boston Marathon, a race that symbolizes the very essence of daring mighty things. But this run is not about personal achievement; it's about harnessing our collective strength to make a difference in the fight against cancer.
I am once again running with the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge Team in 2024! We run to raise funds for vital cancer research. You can learn more about our mission at DFMC.org and know that every single dollar you contribute to the Claudia Adams Barr Program goes directly to cancer research –100%!
Cancer is relentless, touching the lives of countless people. It knows no boundaries. We've all been touched by cancer in some way, whether through a loved one, a friend, or even our own personal experience. Today, my mission is to honor my friend Jaimie, who passed away this year from cancer. I dedicate my 2024 Boston Marathon run to her memory.
I believe in the power of progress and the potential to conquer this disease. This is a chance to make a real impact, to dare mighty things together.
Here's how you can get involved and make a difference:
