I am participating in the 2024 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk and I’ll be taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer. This years finish line is at the heart of Boston right on the Boston Common and we are excited about that.
I’ve been blessed with immunotherapy treatments at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. This year I celebrate my 63rd birthday because of the amazing care I receive at the Dana Farber. 🙏🏼 I remember when I was asked to participate in a clinical trial new to patients with Metastatic Breast Cancer and I took the leap of faith and here we are 10 years later. I can never ever truly thank Dana Farber enough for my amazing care (and my life) so this is why I walk to raise money for this unbelievable institution.
Did I say “Violet” we have been asked to be matched up with this sweet little 5 year old girl who was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer and we are so excited to walk with her and her family for the 2nd year.
Once again we have to note that each year cancer seems to take another life (team members dad) so much more work needs to be done. Every year it seems to happen. So many reason’s to walk for sure. So, more work needs to be done!!!
