Named for cancer patient and activist Leonard (Lenny) Zakim, the Leonard P. Zakim Center for Integrative Therapies and Healthy Living was one of the first integrative medicine centers in the country.
The Zakim Center today provides evidence-based, supportive services for thousands of patients at Dana-Farber and beyond with individual appointments in Integrative Medicine, acupuncture and massage, as well as group programs in exercise, nutrition, mindfulness and expressive arts therapies.
The Zakim Center is committed to providing these services to all patients, regardless of their financial means, making philanthropy critical to the mission of our center.
TEAM ZAKIM, our Jimmy Fund Walk Team, plays an important role in supporting the Zakim Center. Since TEAM ZAKIM’s creation 26 years ago, we are proud to have raised nearly $610K to support our integrative medicine services and research studying the most effective ways to incorporate integrative therapies into cancer care.
Our team is comprised of Zakim Center patients, staff, and supporters, all coming together to support the life-giving programs provided by the Zakim Center. As walkers on TEAM ZAKIM, we are committed to continuing our support of the Zakim Center and encourage you to do the same. We invite you to support us in our 27th year of walking by supporting our walkers through the links below. All funds raised will support the Zakim Center and help to provide world-class, compassionate care to our patients.
Thank you for supporting our team in the Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can defy cancer!
