Dana-Farber’s Lynch Syndrome Center is the first multidisciplinary center dedicated to the prevention, treatment, and study of Lynch syndrome (LS)—the most common hereditary condition that greatly increases the lifetime risk of colorectal (by 80%), endometrial, ovarian, stomach, and other cancers. The Lynch Syndrome Center is distinguished by its ability to offer lifelong, personalized care and support to individuals with LS and their families, while translating the latest research breakthroughs to leading-edge prevention and treatment methods.
A gift to support the Lynch Syndrome Center supports the following, among many other initiatives:
• Development of new treatment and prevention methods
• Cascade Testing of families at risk for LS
• Awareness of LS among healthcare provider and the general public
• Research in the biology of LS and the five genes (MLH1, MSH2, MSH6, PMS2, EPCAM) that cause LS
• Training the next-generation of LS physician-scientists
• Annual LYNKED IN Lynch syndrome Patient Conference (free for patients and families)
