George bravely fought leukemia for 3 years. Despite his peaks and valleys, George had a great quality of life due to his amazing attitude, loving support of friends and family, and the amazing care at Dana Farber. Dr. Wadleigh is the best in our eyes and never, ever gave up on George. She was caring, compassionate and was always there for us. Yawkey 8 became our home away from home and wonderful caretakers like Adriana, Theresa, Hannah and Chisom, to name a few, became family. 🧡
