Thank you for visiting my Giving Page to support cancer research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund.
We fondly remember our beloved mother, Janice Stanley, who dedicated many years of her life to serving as Treasurer at Dedham Savings until her passing in 1995 due to breast cancer, at the age of 52. Her journey was marked by resilience, having lost our father, Ernie Stanley, to lung cancer in 1987. The support from Dedham Savings employees during her time at Dana Farber for clinical studies was immeasurable, from blood donations to heartfelt visits and meals. In 1993, Dedham Savings initiated a walk in memory of Janice, which has continued for 31 years, a testament to her enduring legacy. Survived by her children and grandchildren – Bob Stanley, Bill Stanley and wife Jean, Patti Sullivan and husband Gary Peterson, Marie Holton, and husband Tim, and grandchildren Cassidy and Courtney Sullivan, Alyssa, Tim, and Ryan Holton – Janice's story resonates with many who have faced cancer's challenges. This annual walk is about honoring our mother and supporting everyone touched by this disease. We are deeply grateful to Dedham Savings and all who participated and donated to this meaningful event, helping raise funds for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
