Weikang "Kevin" Wu passed
away on the morning of Sunday November 18th, 2018 from pancreatic cancer. As a
physicist by training, he always espoused the value of science and logic in
addressing complex problems. He appreciated that Dana Farber's academic rigor
and mission aligned with his own philosophy. He was deeply moved by the
hopeful, compassionate, and holistic care provided by his Dana Farber team. His
family will always be incredibly grateful as well.
Pancreatic cancer is an aggressive disease without effective treatment options.
His loving wife, son, and daughter hope that donations made in Kevin's honor
will one day lead to significant advancements in therapies for other patients
suffering from this disease. Kevin was a source of light for his family through
all of life's milestones. We hope Kevin's memory will live on to save others
and their families.
