Thank you for visiting my Giving Page to support penile cancer awareness, and research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Penile cancer is extremely rare, and thus extremely underfunded. Most people have never even heard of cancer of the penis. Testicular? Yes. Prostate? Of course. Penile? Nah. It affects only about 2,000 men in the US a year and only 26,000 worldwide. But these men have lives too and no man should have to go through what my husband went through. Chris didn’t have to die from this ravaging and excruciatingly painful form of cancer. Early detection by self examination and a thorough physical examination by a general practitioner and/or urologist is key. I am determined to not let my husband’s death be in vain. Hence, this Giving Page.
Since we don’t know when Chris’ service will be because of COVID 19, I thought it best to share the link with you now in the event you would like to make a donation before then. I will also try to include the link to this page in any obituaries that might appear in the East Hampton Star, and the Rappahannock Record. So, please be on the lookout for that as well. Please also be on the lookout for a link to an event, eg., run/walk, sailboat regatta, which I am in the beginning stages of coordinating with the philanthropic division of Dana-Farber.
Thank you all for loving Chris and for your donation. Every little penny counts.
Much love,
Kinnet 💕
