Hello! I am so lucky, privileged and excited to be a part of the Dana Farber Team for 128th Boston Marathon in April 2024, and I am asking for your help!
Running the Boston Marathon has always been a dream of mine, from watching my dad cross that finish line when I was young, to now being a senior at Boston College, cheering on the runners with my peers at Mile 21. But in 2018, I was given another reason to run, and I'm so excited to get the opportunity to help run for the ultimate finsih line: a world without cancer.
In 2018, the Dana Farber Team quickly became a part of my family's team, offering treatment and care that literally saved my sisters life in her fight against Leukemia. And now, I am honored to be a part of theirs. I watched my sister battle chemo, radiation and a bone marrow transplant, and am in awe of her strength every day. She is my biggest inspiration and I think of her in everything I do. This is a cause near and dear to my heart, and one that we have seen the impact of first hand.
I have committed to raising $13,100, and I know that every dollar raised will go towards making sure these amazing efforts can continue. Efforts that save lives. Efforts that saved my sister. I can't wait to run with Dana Farber on my chest, my sister's name on my back, and so much love and grattitude in my heart. Because #NobodyFightsAlone. LET'S GO!!!
