In 2024, hundreds of Dana-Farber runners will take to the streets to participate in the 128th Boston Marathon®. The Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge team runs and raises funds with thousands of special people in mind. From Hopkinton to Boston, we carry thoughts of those people every step of the way.
This organization is especially important to me because I have experienced how cancer effects each and every individual whether you have cancer or are there for someone who does. When I was 15, my Dad was diagnosed with Lymphoma. He had to do extensive treatment with chemotherapy. Two months after the news of my Dad, my mom found out she had Breast Cancer. She also had to go through extensive treatments. Both my parents were brave for us, each other, and themselves. My parents are so strong and have proven that despite everything, they can still succeed and show up everyday for their family. I know so many people who are affected by Cancer in their everyday lives, and I hope we can make a difference together.
One hundred percent of every dollar raised by the DFMC team supports the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. These funds are fueling some of today's most promising basic cancer research.
Thank you for your support! Together, we're headed toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.
