Thank you for visiting our 2024 fundraising page to support Dr. Cleary's cancer research. Not only are these research efforts remarkable, but they have already proven critical to our cancer journey and the lives of many others impacted by gastrointestinal cancers. We set up this page, and will be running the B.A.A. 5K in support of Dr. Cleary and the incredible teams who have supported us since 2017. All funds raised will be directed to areas that will impact our fight the most. There is no amount too small, and every donation is appreciated!
Dr. Cleary is a medical oncologist at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He specializes in treating gastrointestinal cancers. He is the principal investigator on eight clinical trials evaluating both molecularly-targeted therapies and immunotherapies. He has had more than 30 articles published in such journals as The New England Journal of Medicine, Nature, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Cancer Discovery, and Journal of Clinical Investigation. Dr. Cleary's research is focused on developing molecularly targeted and immunotherapies for patients with gastrointestinal cancers who have limited treatment options. As part of this research, he collaborates with cancer biologists to analyze molecular mechanisms governing the sensitivity and resistance to these therapies. The overall aim of this research is to expand and improve treatment options for patients with gastrointestinal malignancies.
