TEAM UP WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS
Many Jimmy Fund Walk teams are a combination of family, friends, and communities who come together against cancer to make a difference. Teams often rally together in honor of a loved one to show their support. Team Captains can use this manual to get your team going and this list of suggested vendors to make team shirts.
FEATURED JIMMY FUND WALK TEAM
Jen Collins has been walking for several years in memory of her husband, Jim. In 2023, Jen and family decided to start a new team, Team Jimspiration, to support the Young Onset Colorectal Cancer Center.
“Team Jimspiration is comprised of family and friends, seasoned and first-time walkers alike, with a common goal of ridding this world of cancer. We walk in honor and in memory of my husband Jim, whose battle with colon cancer ended in 2019. We walk for Jim, and for all others who can’t.”
CORPORATE TEAMS
Many companies and organizations start a team or sponsor the Jimmy Fund Walk through a financial or in-kind contribution. The Jimmy Fund staff is available to offer guidance and provide resources every step of the way. Contact Stephanie Dolliver to learn more.

FEATURED JIMMY FUND WALK CORPORATE TEAM
Walking for Progress is proud to return for their second year as a corporate team.
“Many people have stories about how cancer has impacted them or someone they care about. While we’ve previously looked forward to the Jimmy Fund Walk to help raise money for cancer research and patient care, this year will have added meaning for progress. In December 2022, we lost our chief legal officer, Stephen Faberman, to cancer. We are walking this year in his honor.”
DANA-FARBER EMPLOYEE TEAMS
The Jimmy Fund Walk allows those that work together, to walk together. All Dana-Farber employees are encouraged to walk and participate alongside our courageous patients and their families and friends. All employee walkers will be invited to events throughout the year including Jimmy Fund Walk Spirit Week and will receive a special patch to wear on Walk day.
Dana-Farber Employee led teams are also eligible to earn the coveted Golden Sneaker Awards: Excellence in Fundraising, Pacesetter Power, Rookie of the Year, and Staff Spotlight.

Lori, Jess, and Shanna are Co-Captains of team Patient Care for a Cure, and the team supports Nursing and Patient Care Services at Dana-Farber.
