The Boston Marriott Copley Place serves as the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge team headquarters throughout Boston Marathon Weekend. Volunteers help runners during the team’s required check-in process.
The Dana-Farber team comes together for a celebratory pasta dinner the afternoon before the race, honoring all the athletes and highlighting their hard work. Volunteers greet runners and help check-in and seat guests.
Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge volunteers dot the marathon course, from Dana-Farber’s refuge at the start in Hopkinton, to the cheering sections at Mile 17 and Mile 25.
The post-race Recovery Zone offers Dana-Farber runners a chance to relax and mingle after the race, including food, massage, and reuniting with family members. Licensed medical staff and massage therapists especially needed!
