TEAM UP WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS
Many Jimmy Fund Walk teams are a combination of family, friends, and communities who come together against cancer to make a difference. Teams often rally together in honor of a loved one to show their support. Team Captains can use this manual to get your team going and this list of suggested vendors to make team shirts.
FEATURED JIMMY FUND WALK TEAM
Gerry is the Team Captain for Team Jason. Gerry and his team walk virtually in Rhode Island every year!
“This is my 17th year walking in honor the life of my son Jason. When we completed a virtual Walk during the pandemic, my team and I really liked the format—since then we have walked virtually in my home town. My wife Beverly makes us a great breakfast, I plot out a route so we pass my home several times and can take some time to refresh, and then finally Beverly prepares a feast for us all!!”
CORPORATE TEAMS
Many companies and organizations start a team or sponsor the Jimmy Fund Walk through a financial or in-kind contribution. The Jimmy Fund staff is available to offer guidance and provide resources every step of the way. Contact us to learn more.

DANA-FARBER EMPLOYEE TEAMS
The Jimmy Fund Walk allows those that work together, to walk together. All Dana-Farber employees are encouraged to walk and participate alongside our courageous patients and their families and friends. All employee walkers will be invited to events throughout the year including Jimmy Fund Walk Spirit Week and will receive a special patch to wear on Walk day.
Dana-Farber Employee led teams are also eligible to earn the coveted Golden Sneaker Awards: Excellence in Fundraising, Pacesetter Power, Rookie of the Year, and Staff Spotlight.
