About Teams

TEAM UP WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS
Many Jimmy Fund Walk teams are a combination of family, friends, and communities who come together against cancer to make a difference. Teams often rally together in honor of a loved one to show their support.

FEATURED JIMMY FUND WALK TEAM
Amy’s Angels participated in their first of many Jimmy Fund Walks to remember Amy and continue a 26-year tradition.
“The story of Amy’s Angels is unique, in that we walk in memory of our sister and friend Amy, not because she passed away from cancer, but because the Jimmy Fund was a cause that was near and dear to her heart. We knew right away that participating in the Jimmy Fund Walk would be a great way to carry on the tradition that she and her father shared for so many years. It was so motivating to see the direct connection between the money raised from the Walk and advancements in cancer treatment.”
CORPORATE TEAMS
Many companies and organizations start a team or sponsor the Jimmy Fund Walk through a financial or in-kind contribution. The Jimmy Fund staff is available to offer guidance and provide resources every step of the way. Contact Stephanie Dolliver to learn more.

FEATURED JIMMY FUND WALK CORPORATE TEAM
Team Captain, Matt Silva, reflects on restarting a company tradition over a decade later.
“Our team walked a few years in the late 2000s, back when our company was still Columbia Electric Supply (now Granite City Electric), because my brother had been battling leukemia. We were able to gather a small group of employees to come together in 2022 and raise funds to beat cancer and have some fun in October. We love this event and hope to be a part of it for many years to come!”

DANA-FARBER EMPLOYEE TEAMS
The Jimmy Fund Walk allows those that work together, to walk together. All Dana-Farber employees are encouraged to walk and participate alongside our courageous patients and their families and friends. All employee walkers will be invited to events throughout the year including Jimmy Fund Walk Spirit Week and will receive a special patch to wear on Walk day.
Dana-Farber Employee led teams are also eligible to earn the coveted Golden Sneaker Awards: Excellence in Fundraising, Pacesetter Power, Rookie of the Year, and Staff Spotlight.
