"My sister was diagnosed with leiomyosarcoma in November of 2019. Since then, she has been getting treatment at Dana-Farber. My 2 year 'streamaversary' was coming up and I knew I wanted to do something special, and I realized I had an opportunity to do some good. I had told my sister that if she lost her hair, I would shave my head too, and I figured why not use that as an incentive to raise some money? I saw how easy it was to set up a charity event through Tiltify and went for it. The stream went better than I ever could have hoped. I hit my original goal of $5k within 90 minutes. All of my plans went out the door. We even had people jumping in offering to give away other items just so we could raise more money. At the end of 15 hours, we had raised over $42,000. I'm STILL glowing from the love I felt that day. I'm so happy I could raise money for something that isn't just close to me, but helps so many people."
