Fundraising tips


  • Log in to your Participant Center to customize your fundraising page and URL. Telling your story on your page helps increase gifts.
  • Share your personal URL on social media to ask for support. Social media helps broaden your audience.
  • Check out the Tools in your Participant Center for fundraising resources, important dates, and training and other materials.
  • Watch your inbox for emails from our staff with additional guidance to achieve fundraising success.

  • Fundraising calendars and to-do list
  • “Support My Run” flyers to spread the word
  • Donor reports for stewarding and thanking donors
  • Additional DFMC items available upon request

Fundraising tools


A fundraising project or event is a creative way to supplement fundraising for your run and attract a wide array of potential donors. If you are planning an event or fundraiser, please contact our staff at least four weeks in advance to learn more about our quick and easy approvals process. DFMC staff can help you plan a successful fundraiser by providing resources and materials such as banners, canisters, and more.

Who: Allie Colleran
What: Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge Fundraiser
Where: Concord, MA
Details: An event for family and friends to learn about the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge and Allie’s role on the team. Event will include opportunity drawings and silent auctions with donated items.
When: November 1, 2019 at 7 p.m.

Who: Robyn Gay-Jennings
What: Fundraiser for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Honor of Kayur Shah
Where: Stellwagen Brewery in Marshfield, MA
Details: A social event with Wahlburger’s food truck and craft beer available for purchase. Guests will also have the chance to bid on silent auction of items and participate in an opportunity drawing. Suggested donation of $25 per person.
When: November 16 at 2 p.m.

What: Community Variety Show
Where: Needham, MA
Details: This holiday party includes an online and in person opportunity drawing in order to engage the widest amount of participation!
