Many Jimmy Fund Walk teams are a combination of family, friends, and communities who come together against cancer, even when apart to make a difference. Teams often rally together in honor of a loved one to show their support.
The Rak Pack is looking forward to celebrating their third year supporting the Jimmy Fund Walk in memory of their loved one, Jason Rakitin.
“We are walking virtually this year to continue to move toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer! In spite of the pandemic and everything else that is going on, people are still suffering with cancer. Scientists are still at work trying to find new therapies. The need hasn't changed even though the world has changed dramatically.”
Many companies and organizations start a team or sponsor the Jimmy Fund Walk through a financial or in-kind contribution. The Jimmy Fund staff is available to offer guidance and provide resources every step of the way. Contact Samantha Rose, Corporate Teams Coordinator, to learn more.

Needham Bank is back for a second year for the 2020 Jimmy Fund Walk: Your Way as a corporate walk team and sponsor.
“Needham Bank and the NB Mobile Bankers team are inspired and proud to walk apart but join together in the 2020 Jimmy Fund Walk to help find a cure and end cancer.”
This year has been one unlike any other. The worldwide COVID-19 pandemic has changed the workplace and the world as we know it, but it has also taught us lessons of kindness, resiliency, and generosity. The Jimmy Fund Walk: Your Way allows those that work together, to walk together even when apart. All Dana-Farber employees are encouraged to walk and participate alongside our courageous patients and their families. All employee walkers and volunteers will be invited to virtual events throughout the year and will receive a special patch to wear on Walk day.
Dana-Farber Employee led teams are also eligible to earn the coveted Golden Sneaker Awards: Excellence in Fundraising, Pacesetter Power, Rookie of the Year and Staff Spotlight.

Team Kessler’s Crew PACT Pack has participated in the Walk for over 20 years and has raised well over $500,000 to support pediatric palliative care patients and their families.
“This year has resulted in unprecedented challenges for us all, especially for the families we serve through the Pediatric Advanced Care Team at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Boston Children’s Hospital. They are experiencing undue financial hardship, isolation, and exhaustion as they seek to care for their children. The walk is in memory of Richard Kessler and to honor PACT patients and families.”
