Jack was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in his home state of Montana after his leg suddenly broke. His parents chose Dana-Farber for treatment, despite the distance, because of the Institute’s long-standing expertise in pediatric cancer. An athlete—everything from skiing and surfing to tennis—Jack hopes to complete on Team USA’s Nordic ski team in the 2026 Paralympics.

"Striking out cancer means that we have to find a cure for this, so no one else has to deal with it again," Jack says.

We need your help to defy cancer. Your donation of:

  • $1,500 funds research that may result in the next scientific breakthrough
  • $500 helps fund the development of new cancer drugs
  • $150 supports survivorship programs designed to help all patients thrive
  • $75 funds programs at the clinic for pediatric patients
  • $25 helps support more than 1,100 clinical trials

Hear more stories like Jack’s on WEEI 93.7 FM and New England Sports Network on August 23 and 24, as patients of all ages join doctors, nurses, and local celebrities for a live broadcast from Fenway Park. Your donation today helps give more patients a cancer-free future.
