Dana-Farber Jimmy Fund Clinic patient Lily sits in the dugout with Red Sox pitcher Garrett Whitlock at Fenway Park

Lily recently had the chance to visit Fenway Park for a behind-the-scenes tour from our Jimmy Fund Captain, Red Sox pitcher Garrett Whitlock, and the two became fast friends.

Lily, 6, was diagnosed with leukemia in June 2022. She loves stuffed animals, gymnastics, and soccer, and wants to be famous like Taylor Swift when she grows up! Today, Lily is in maintenance mode and getting back to her active life. “Nothing small bothers her anymore,” says Lily’s mom, Liz. “We are so thankful for Dana-Farber. If it was your child, you’d want to be in the best place in the world—and this is it.”

We need your help to defy cancer. Your donation of:

  • $1,500 funds research that may result in the next scientific breakthrough
  • $500 helps fund the development of new cancer drugs
  • $150 supports survivorship programs designed to help all patients thrive
  • $75 funds programs at the clinic for pediatric patients
  • $25 helps support more than 1,100 clinical trials
