Make a Difference as a Volunteer

Volunteers are a critical part of the WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon presented by Arbella Insurance. From answering phones to selling merchandise and collecting donations, this event would not be possible without the commitment of volunteers like you.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Check out our different volunteer opportunities below. While we cannot guarantee specific roles, we will try to keep volunteer groups together. We also strive to ensure our volunteer opportunities are inclusive and enable all individuals to participate. Merchandise Sales

Sell Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon hats and t-shirts to Boston Red Sox fans during each day’s game. A stationary or standing indoor/outdoor role that involves communicating with fans.

Collecting Donations

Encourage Red Sox fans to make a donation in a Jimmy Fund canister at specific stations throughout the park. A standing indoor/outdoor role that involves communicating with fans.

Phone Bank

Answer phones and record contributions from donors who call in during the broadcast. A stationary indoor role that involves communicating information from callers.

QUICK TIPS

  • Volunteers must be 18 or older
  • Dress casually and wear comfortable shoes; you will be provided with a t-shirt or hat, depending on your role
  • We encourage you to take public transportation as we are unable to provide volunteer parking; the closest MBTA stop is Kenmore
