About Teams

A Walk team on the course

TEAM UP WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS

Many Jimmy Fund Walk teams are a combination of family, friends, and communities who come together against cancer to make a difference. Teams often rally together in honor of a loved one to show their support. Team Captains can use this manual to get your team going and this list of suggested vendors to make team shirts.

FEATURED JIMMY FUND WALK TEAM

In 2023, the Falmouth Sole Sisters recruited 10 team members for their first virtual Walk, raising nearly $6,800!

“The Falmouth Sole Sisters is composed of women who met during COVID as strangers and now consider ourselves, 'Sole Sisters.' We decided to walk the Jimmy Fund Walk because we have all been personally affected by cancer. The weather was wild, wet, and windy. Our ponchos leaked, our feet were soaked, we had blisters the size of half dollars, but we wouldn’t have changed a thing!”

CORPORATE TEAMS

Many companies and organizations start a team or sponsor the Jimmy Fund Walk through a financial or in-kind contribution. The Jimmy Fund staff is available to offer guidance and provide resources every step of the way. Contact us to learn more.

FEATURED JIMMY FUND WALK CORPORATE TEAM

Jacob’s Team was the highest fundraising first-time corporate team in 2023, earning them the Newcomer Award.

“Led by Craig Fishman, our chief operating officer and principal at NES Group, our team walks in solidarity for his son, Jacob, and those affected by mesenchymal chondrosarcoma. Jacob's courageous journey fuels our mission to raise awareness for this rare disease and support the Jimmy Fund's fight against cancer.”

“Working in oncology and being personally touched by people affected by cancer makes this cause special to us. My heart goes out to every patient who has undergone treatment, is currently in treatment, those who have passed, and those who survived. Walking 26.2 miles is tiring but does not compare to the countless hours of treatment patients undergo. We are walking towards a world where cancer is just a word, not a battle.”
