In November of 2019, my beautiful niece and goddaughter, Annie McNamara Evans, lost her battle with acute myeloid leukemia. Annie was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside and taught so many of us what courage and grace looked like. It is my honor to run and fundraise in her honor so that Dana-Farber can continue the work toward a cure.
In 1986 my best friend from business school, Jeff Brown, and I had hoped to finish the marathon together but it didn't happen. Jeff has agreed to run with me in 2024 and has committed to raise the same $45,000 that I have committed to raise. We know we will be slow but we wanted to do this before we have to sign up for Medicare. We will be proud to do our (very slow) part to raise funds in honor of those who have fought and those who are fighting to defy cancer. We know there is strength in numbers and hope you will consider joining us as we play a small part in helping raise funds for finding a cure.
