In July, my treatments for breast and endometrial cancers came to an end after 2.5 years. It was a wild time, for sure, being diagnosed with two stage 3 cancers just weeks apart, but I could not have asked for better care and support throughout it all.
The funny thing is once you do 39 chemo infusions, 28 radiation sessions, 8 surgeries, and have many crazy hair(less) styles....you’re ready for anything!
Running the Boston Marathon with my oldest daughter Kate and raising money to fight cancer has been a dream since this all started. 100% of the funds we raise will go to the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research at Dana-Farber, where incredible breakthroughs are giving more time to cancer patients worldwide.
I’m beyond grateful for National Cancer Institutes like Dana Farber where specialists and teams worked together to help me achieve the best outcomes. Both of my cancers are now in remission – hopefully forever!
While our fundraising goal feels scary, cancer is scarier. Our plan is to beat both! No donation is too small and we truly appreciate your support, tips, hype -- all of it.
**NOTE** It’s easy to double your gift supporting us! Many employers will match charitable contributions made by their employees. Email your HR dept or search here.
