In loving memory of Uncle Joel, Grandma Pat, Nana & Grampy and many other loved ones lost to cancer, I am honored to join the 2024 Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge team. When I was on the team in 2020, I learned how impactful Dana-Farber truly is to so many families affected by cancer. I am proud to be part of this community again and excited to run the streets of Boston alongside my teammates this time around.
Now, in April 2024, I will run with even more on my mind. I will run to show my daughter that we can do hard things. To show her how much we can accomplish when we come together as a community. I will run in the hope that one day her list of loved ones lost to cancer might be shorter than mine.
One hundred percent of every dollar raised by the DFMC team supports the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. These funds are fueling some of today's most promising basic cancer research.
