In 2020, my mom was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer; one month later, she was also diagnosed with stage 3 endometrial cancer. Thanks to the care team at Dana Farber, she finished two and a half years of treatment and as of this past July, both cancers are in remission! I am proud and excited to be running the 128th Boston Marathon® on April 15th alongside her in support of cancer research and the doctors, nurses, and caregivers who make it possible for me to have more time with her.
My mom is the strongest, most resilient woman I know. Since the day she was diagnosed, she has been determined to run the marathon for Dana-Farber. She is my biggest inspiration so I am thrilled to do this with her.
The care she received at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute was nothing short of incredible. One hundred percent of every dollar raised by our DFMC team supports the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, which helps fund research that benefits patients worldwide.
I have an aggressive fundraising goal for this race, but cancer is aggressive, too. No donation is too small; every dollar makes a difference. I appreciate your support!
