In June 2023, I lost my best friend to Stage 4 Breast Cancer at the age of 35. It's been one of the deepest losses of my life. Anyone who has seen someone suffer from cancer knows the feeling of helplessness that comes with it; the greatest desire to do anything to help but knowing you can't treat them yourself.
The best way to honor my friend was to adopt her strength mentality and transform a negative situation into one that can create progress and change in the pursuit to help others.
This is why I am running the 2024 Boston Marathon. I'm honored to run for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, a leading cancer research center globally. In running the marathon, I aim to raise money for cancer research to better detect and treat cancer patients. Please donate and support my fundraising goal with the aim of ending cancer!
