Last summer, my favorite human/mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Despite the ongoing challenges she faced throughout her battle, she woke up everyday with more grace and strength than I could ever imagine. She’s a mom. A wife. A grandmother. A sister. An Aunt. A Survivor. And she’s STILL HERE.
On a regular basis, whether she was post-surgery, chemo and/or radiation, she was constantly talking about Dana Farber in the upmost regard. The care, support, DEDICATION, technology, science & approach to cancer treatment is one on another level. Thanks to Dana Farber, a hospital I’m quite positive saved her life, she beat breast cancer and a year later, is here, stronger than ever.
I am running the 128th Boston Marathon to raise LOTS of money to fight cancer and for continued cancer research. This is the third marathon I’m running for cancer— however, the first I’m running in honor of my mother. I’m running for my mom and for every other cancer patient out there.
I said it once & I’ll say it again- f*&k cancer.
THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU.
