WHY WE'RE FUNDRAISING WITH THE JIMMY FUND WALK TO FIGHT CANCER

In 2013, our dad/grandfather/ friend was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. His response was to say “I will fight this and we will find the fun along the way”.

Dana Farber gave Mark Mullaney almost 5 healthy years to meet 6 more grandchildren , and spread a message of hope, fun and selflessness to everyone he met.

 

Since 2014 his sons, daughter in laws, nieces, nephews and friends have run the Boston Marathon every year for Dana Farber and raised $987,000 in his honor and in the honor of our uncles Chuck and Frank. 

But for Dad, it was never about him; it was about helping the next family, the next kid, the next generation. 

This effort has come full circle as his oldest granddaughter and two of her great friends join the team and expand the circle.

 

The next generation is here. Dad’s message of “Find the Fun” lives on and we couldn’t be happier to share this with all of you. Thank you for being a part of a greater cause as we toe the line for the 11th consecutive year, this time with the goal of cracking $1,000,000  for cancer research. 

Our run is through the hills to Boston; our finish line is a world without cancer.
