Hi everyone! My name is Abby Miller I am a senior captain on the Babson Women’s Basketball team. This April I will be running the Boston Marathon in honor of my close friend and teammate.
In November of 2022, during the start of our sophomore season, she was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. This may be the toughest news anyone could receive, especially away from home at 18 years old, but she showed us all what it means to be incredibly strong and courageous!
When she had to move back home to do her treatments, it made it hard for us to show our support and provide her with any help. I have spent the last 2 years cheering for her from afar so being able to honor her this April is something I couldn’t be more proud and excited to do.
In 2011 my mom ran Boston for Dana Farber in honor of her dad, my grandfather, a colon cancer survivor. It was then, at 9 years old that I said I wanted to run one day, all I needed was to find the right reason. I see no better reason to complete this life long dream of mine than to honor and support one of my closest friends!
Please consider donating as I try to reach my goal of $15,000 in honor of her this April! Together we are headed toward the REAL finish line: a world without cancer!!!
