I am thrilled to share that this April I will be running the Boston Marathon (my first-ever marathon!) as part of the Dana-Farber team.
Running Boston is a dream come true and I'm honored to be partnering with Dana-Farber, an organization doing truly groundbreaking work in cancer research. I have set an ambitious $15,000 fundraising goal, and I would be so grateful to have your support.
All funds raised—a full 100 percent—will benefit the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, widely recognized as one of the largest and most successful programs of its kind. Based on a rigorous and highly selective process, the program funds the brightest, most creative scientists making basic research discoveries that are transforming cancer treatment. Claudia Adams Barr Program Investigators have made numerous major breakthroughs resulting in improved survival rates and quality of life for thousands of patients everywhere.
While it's been quite some time since my high school cross country team days, over the next five months I will be returning to my distance running roots and pouring everything I have into training and preparation.
I would be honored if you would consider donating to the cause and supporting my fundraising efforts. If you're not in a position to donate, please consider spreading the word to family, friends, and colleagues that may be interested in contributing.
Thank you so much for your encouragement and support. See you out on the course in April!
