As a nine-year-old girl, I sold candy on the sidelines of the Boston Marathon to fundraise for several charities with the help of my family and friends. I eagerly awaited the sea of runners that would fill the streets just down the street from my home. I have always hoped to have the opportunity to participate in this tradition in support of a personal and meaningful cause.
In early 2024, I tested positive for the BRCA2 gene and was fortunate to connect with specialists at Dana-Farber. I knew that I was in good hands after seeing my mother treated at Dana-Farber. As a carrier of the BRCA2 gene, I am thrilled to fundraise for the life-changing Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. These funds are fueling some of today's most promising basic cancer research.
Thank you for your support! Together, we're headed toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.
