Hi everyone!!!! I’m running the Boston marathon YAY!!! I’m not just running it alone, I’m raising $15,000 dollars for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute!! Cancer affects so many of us, directly and indirectly, and this is my chance to contribute in a meaningful way.
As I approach mile 11 in Natick, Massachusetts, I’ll be reminded of the start of my journey in cancer research. Natick is more than just a point on the course for me; it’s where I spent my 10th-grade summer at Mercy BioAnalytics, a company focused on early cancer detection. The excitement surrounding our breakthrough in the early detection of ovarian cancer further ignited my curiosity for the possibilities surrounding saving lives. That summer taught me how powerful research can be—and now, I’m returning to Boston to raise funds for groundbreaking work at Dana-Farber!
Running the Boston Marathon to support this cause brings my journey full circle. I’m honored to play even a small role in helping Dana-Farber researchers push the boundaries of what’s possible in cancer treatment. With your support, we can make an even bigger impact.
One hundred percent of every dollar raised by the DFMC team supports the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. These funds are fueling some of today's most promising basic cancer research.
Thank you for your support! Together, we're headed toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.
