Allow us to introduce the Crush Colon Cancer Fund and our first fundraising event at the Boston Harbor Hotel on August 6, 2022 starting at 6pm
The Crush Colon Cancer Fund has been established by the Mulrenan, Holzman, Brandano, Miller, Haggerty and McDonough families that will specifically direct funds to colon cancer medical advances being developed at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute (DCFI). Recently, our brother, Michael Mulrenan, has been diagnosed with colon cancer and is in the middle of a fight to beat this terrible disease. He is being treated at DFCI while his faith and the prayers and support, of what may be thousands of people, are engaged in this battle with Michael. While the work we support at DFCI may or may not be a part of Michael’s battle, the founding families have a long history with cancer, and decided it was time to engage directly in the fight against cancer with the aim of saving the lives of patients and help lessen the devastating effect it can have on families.
Our goal is to raise a minimum of $100,000 and our first fundraiser will be at the Boston Harbor Hotel on August 6, 2022. We request a minimum of a $100 donation for each attendee. Each dollar raised will be matched so a donation of $100 means that $200 will go to DCFI. Dinner will be provided along with music, dancing and a cash bar. There will be auctions and raffles you can participate in as well throughout the night. Space is very limited so please request an invitation and make your donation soon to hold a space.
All proceeds from The Crush Colon Cancer Fund will go directly to the Marios Giannakis, MD Lab at DCFI. The Lab is specifically focused on colon cancer research and has already developed an immunotherapy for colon cancer that is in clinical trials. Our funds will enable this trial and research to advance and has the potential to have a profound impact on the future of patients and their families.
