WHY WE'RE FUNDRAISING WITH THE JIMMY FUND WALK TO FIGHT CANCER
In memory of EF Boston's own Mark Mercer, who passed away from cancer earlier this year at the age of 56, we are honored to host the first annual Mercer's Miles. This new annual event will raise funds for cancer research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Mark's honor.
During his last week, Mark personally designed this event with us in the hope of creating something as inclusive as possible so that everyone who wants to can participate. This is also an opportunity to celebrate Mark and his impact on so many of us.
Mark was a mentor to many of us, loved physical challenges, and was always up for joining ambitious events and making them fun. We hope to carry this spirit forward in his memory.
When: Mark's Birthday, Friday, August 5th at 3pm
Where: Hult House Field, 10 Education Circle, Cambridge MA
Donations*:
Mercer's Walk (2-mile walk): $10 donation
Mercer's Run (4-mile run): $15 donation
Mercer's Challenge (6-mile run + additional physical challenges): $20 donation
Volunteers: $5 donation
*use the "Donate To Event" button, NOT the "Join Our Event" button
All funds raised will be donated to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and will be matched by EF.
