Our fundraiser directly benefits the Jimmy Fund, which has raised millions of dollars through thousands of grassroots efforts to help save lives and give hope to patients at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
In particular, Joe was passionate about "paying it forward" for others battling cancer. He was a repeat rider in the "Pan Mass Challenge" cancer cycling ride, including riding while undergoing cancer treatment. In addition, he participated in 3 clinical trials - not just in hopes of a cure for himself, but with the aspiration that trial research could save others from similar battles.
As you might guess, Joe was also an avid cornhole player, and enjoyed weekends playing cornhole by the lake with family and friends.
