On February 26, Avery, a friend and family member of the Central Catholic and North Andover communities was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. This news was sudden and shocking to her family and community. Avery has continued to be positive and an inspiration to those around her throughout her battle with cancer and her treatment at Boston Children's Hospital.
The Central Catholic and North Andover Girls Lacrosse teams and coaches are using their upcoming game on April 23 as a way to support Avery and all children battling this disease. We ask that our friends, families and communities come together as we "Play for brAVERY" and support cancer care and research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and The Jimmy Fund.
Our Jimmy FundRaiser directly benefits the Jimmy Fund, which has raised millions of dollars through thousands of grassroots efforts to help save lives and give hope to patients at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
