Colton is now 10 and back in Boston, courageously preparing for a bone marrow transplant. Transplant day is TODAY- October 4, 2024. While Colton focuses on his health, we are committed to keeping his fundraising efforts for Dana Farber going. To date he has raised an incredible $91,743.
We are surprising Colton with ‘Crush It Colton Day’ - a virtual day of giving, to show him the power of community and love. He will follow along from the hospital, tracking the progress on a fundraising thermometer in his room. If you know Colt, he will be beyond proud to tell his nurses and doctors about every dollar raised…and, in real time!
About the amazing Colton:
There really, truly is no one like Colton. While he & his family would typically be hosting their favorite day of the year around this time, the Crush It Colton Fundraiser, they are instead back in Boston for Colton to receive a bone marrow transplant.
After years of trying to sort out several chronic health issues that have plagued Colton since crushing cancer back in 2019 at the age of 5- and meeting with genius medical minds at Yale, Boston, and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia - Colton’s health still remains a bit of a mystery. What we do know is that he has nearly no immune system. For lack of a more specific diagnosis, his doctors have concluded Colton now has “Severe Combined Immune Deficiency” and requires a transplant.
A bone marrow transplant requires days of very intense chemotherapy, followed by transplant and a long, long road to recovery. It is our extreme hope that this will be the answer to a thriving immune system, which will keep Colton healthy forever.
We have set a lofty goal of raising $40k on behalf of Colton this year- will you join us?
