The picture above was taken in August 2017 while newlyweds Patrick and Amanda
Beauregard were on their honeymoon. One month later, their lives would change
forever. While on the outside Patrick may have appeared healthy, a disease was
raging inside of him. One night of stomach pain ended with his diagnosis of
stage IV colon cancer at 29 years old.
Colon cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths, and it recently has
seen a dramatic uptick in young adults. If you are able to, please donate to
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The amazing people there work tirelessly to help
Patrick and thousands of others stay alive and well. All donations made through
the #PandaPower Giving Page will support research for prevention and cutting
edge therapies for colon cancer.
After a couple of surgeries and endless rounds of chemotherapy, Patrick's fight
continues on. Cancer sucks and we hope to make a difference with this Giving
Page. We also encourage you to be an advocate for your health and listen to
your body. Most of all, quit complaining, cherish what you have, enjoy every
single day that is given to you, and remember to pray, hope, and don't worry.
