Rachelle Golden, a cherished wife, daughter, and mother to 3 small children died on May 30th, 2022 at age 40 from NUT Carcinoma. She fought valiantly for 17 months when the life expectancy for this rare and aggressive cancer was about 6 months.
This cancer is so rare and there are no viable targeted therapies and Rachelle wanted to help future NUT patients with resources and treatment options.
The only hospital in the world trying to "crack" the NUT is at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund is how they pay for it. The Dana Farber team in addition to our team at Northwestern did everything they could to help us beat the odds and Rachelle wanted to help them pay it forward to the next patient facing this terrible disease.
