WHY WE'RE FUNDRAISING WITH THE JIMMY FUND WALK TO FIGHT CANCER

The Yong Wang Memorial Fund supports cancer research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in honor of its namesake. Yong passed away at age 52 after a 1.5 year battle with pancreatic cancer. He wanted to contribute to pancreatic cancer research in his remaining time with us. All donated funds, including donations through the Pan Mass Challenge, will go directly to Dana-Farber's pancreatic cancer team to fund research on early detection, treatment, and more.

Yong loved playing soccer, biking, hiking, and running, as well as playing bridge and chess with friends and family. Yong brought a positive and cheerful attitude to everything he did in life, and he was actively involved in local community service and fundraising efforts. Yong is survived by his wife Ying, son Andrew, daughter Allison, and family back home in China.

If you are interested in supporting the Coach Yong Team, please visit the website or Allison's Etsy page, where you can buy Allison's origami decorations and accessories, with proceeds going to Dana-Farber. Find Yong's full obituary here and Allison's PMC page here.
