Part of our responsibility in becoming a Bar and Bat Mitzvah is to choose a mitzvah project that is meaningful to us. The Jimmy Fund walk was very meaningful to our Aunt Melissa so we are raising money and awareness for a cause that was very important to her.
We are raising money in memory of our Auntie Melissa. She participated in the Jimmy Fund Walk every year since 1999! She walked 13.1 miles no matter what was going on in her life. Every little bit helps and every penny goes directly to research. Dana-Farber has helped my friends and family through its expert, compassionate care to children and adults and is home to many groundbreaking cancer discoveries.
