WHY WE'RE FUNDRAISING WITH THE JIMMY FUND WALK TO FIGHT CANCER

Thank you for visiting my Giving Page to support cancer research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund.My wife, Jane Schwerdtfeger, fought courageously against one of the most aggressive forms of breast cancer for 2 1/2 years.  There were times along the way we thought we had beaten the odds.  However, there are still no truly effective treatments that yield long term survival for almost all women who contract this cancer.  Before she passed on Jane and I agreed that I would do what I could to help other women not have to go through what she suffered.  The rest of her life and all she had to give was taken away, but she will not be forgotten by me, her family, and her many friends.
Thank you, Tom McMahon
