Hannah Grossman’s Bat Mitzvah Donations: Fight Colorectal Cancer
Dana-Farber Beth Israel Deaconess Cancer Collaboration for Young-Onset Colorectal Cancer:
My aunt, Elizabeth Housman, who I call Mommy Lizzy because she is like a mother to me, has been diagnosed with colorectal cancer. This is a cancer that is affecting young people more and more, and the Young-Onset Colorectal Cancer Center does research to understand more about why we are seeing this cancer on the rise in young patients. It also offers specialists who provide support and care to patients like Mommy Lizzy. Mommy Lizzy has the most incredible cancer team taking care of her and we are all grateful! A percentage of my Bat Mitzvah gifts will be donated to the Young-Onset Colorectal Cancer center. I pray with all my heart that she will be cured and that some day she will not only attend her children’s B’Mitzvahs but her grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s!
Love,
Hannah
