Dr. Cleary is a medical oncologist at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and an
Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He specializes in
treating gastrointestinal cancers. He is the principal investigator on eight
clinical trials evaluating both molecularly-targeted therapies and
immunotherapies. He has had more than 30 articles published in such journals as
The New England Journal of Medicine, Nature, Journal of Clinical Oncology,
Cancer Discovery, and Journal of Clinical Investigation. Dr. Cleary's research
is focused on developing molecularly targeted and immunotherapies for patients
with gastrointestinal cancers who have limited treatment options. As part of
this research, he collaborates with cancer biologists to analyze molecular
mechanisms governing the sensitivity and resistance to these therapies. The
overall aim of this research is to expand and improve treatment options for
patients with gastrointestinal malignancies.
