Charles A. Hartigan was lost to his friends, teammates, and family too early, taken by cancer January 21, 2019. He was known to many as Charlie, Charles, Chuck, Hartigan, Son, Brother, Husband, Dad, Papa Charlie, Team Mom, Chucky 1 Stick, among other names. To all he was a great friend, passionate competitor, and a personality that everyone loved, and who made everything fun. If you knew him by any of these names, please consider donating as a small way of honoring this great man.
All donations from this page will go directly to the doctors and their research that helped Charlie in his final days. The type of cancer that he had was rare, and as such, is unlikely to receive the same attention and focus as more prevalent cases of carcinoma.
Charlie’s family will keep this site updated with the obituary link and upcoming events. There has recently been a tremendous Kingswood-Oxford Alumni Lacrosse game and reception in his honor, a Connecticut Valley Lacrosse Club tournament game dedicated to his memory, and a large gathering by area real estate professionals reflecting their strong sense of respect and affection toward Charlie. Upcoming, during the annual Lake Placid, NY Summit Lacrosse Tournament (a huge event that Charlie played in for 20 years), he will be honored at a memorial gathering at the Olympic Center (August 7) and recognized at the Legends of Lake Placid ceremony for his athletic and leadership contributions to this large community of lacrosse players from all over the country.
His family is immensely grateful for the flood of tributes and for your support of this cause.
