Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML)
World Awareness Day
April 21, 2023
GOAL: Raise $5,000 and help us reach $20,000 in total giving in Kevin's memory
Kevin was diagnosed on October 24, 2017 with AML which is a rare aggressive cancer of the blood and bone marrow. All funds donated in Kevin's name will go to Kevin's Oncologist Daniel J. DeAngelo, MD, PhD-Boston, Chief, Division of Leukemia. Since Kevin's diagnosis in 2017, through research made possible due to your generous donations are providing new treatments and clinical trials for AML patients which were not available to Kevin. We cherished every moment we had with him until sadly this awful cancer took him from us on August 8, 2019 almost 4 years ago. Our hope is that through these donations lives can be extended and cures discovered.
The "Progress to Goal" chart is cumulative, it includes funds previously raised in the amount of $15,434. Our goal is to reach $20,000 to provide funds to Dr. DeAngelo to continue his AML research which is so critical in the fight against this debilitating cancer.
This will be a tribute to Kevin, by supporting all those who have dedicated their lives working toward cancer cures. I will forever think of these special people as family, all the nurses and staff from the top of the organization to the parking attendants and everyone in between. We will always have the fondest memories of the incredible team in the Brigham unit 7C and the team on Yawkey 8 in the Dana Building. We will never forget the genuine kindness and love you gave to Kevin and to our family.
We want to thank you for previous donations and are forever grateful for you kindness and support. Every little bit helps including your prayers for Kevin and all those who have been taken from us before their time. We are encouraged by all the new treatments that continue to be discovered due to your generosity. Our hope is that others may have newer and better treatments through the AML research.
Any donation is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your love and support.
Karen, Brian, Steven and Eric.
Kevin, we miss your smile, and your sense of humor.
You will be forever missed and are forever loved.
